Robert D. Long

Robert D. Long, CPA/PFS, CFPBob is a member of the Naarden Financial Group, LLC.  In addition he has been a principal/partner with Naarden's sister company,  Jordan and Company Certified Public Accountants since 1987 when the firm of Irwin and Long, CPA's and Jordan and Company merged.  He works in offices in both the "world headquarters" of Jordan & Co. in Pocatello and a satellite office in Boise. 

Bob has over twenty-five years of experience in financial planning, income tax preparation and planning, business consulting, litigation support service, and auditing.  He is the designated quality control partner for the Firm's accounting and auditing practice.

Bob has been authorized by Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards, Inc. (CFP Board) to use the certification marks CFP® and Certified Financial PlannerTM in accordance with CFP Board certification and renewal requirements.  These marks identify those individuals who have met the rigorous experience and ethical requirements, have successfully completed financial planning coursework and have passed the CFP® Certification Examination covering the following areas:  the financial planning process, risk management, investments, tax planning and management, retirement and employee benefits, and estate planning.  He has also been awarded the Personal Financial Specialist (PFS) designation by the American Institute of CPA's (AICPA). 

Professional affiliations include the American Institute of CPA's, the Idaho Society of CPA's, and the Financial Planning Association.  Bob is a past president of the Southeast Idaho Chapter of the Idaho Society of CPA's and a past president of the Pocatello Estate Planning Council.  He is currently a member of the ISCPA's Personal Financial Planning Committee, CPE Committee, and the Idaho State Board of Accountancy's Peer Review Oversight Committee.  He has also served with various civic committees and organizations.                                                                    
 
During the off-hours, you can find Bob playing tennis, running, mountain biking or cross-country skiing.
